According to legend...

In the 18th century, the mountains were a good hideaway for bandits who revelled in a life of freedom, touched with peril. Some had a mysterious talisman which made them untouchable, obtained through the Dark Arts. This amulet was called afullet. 

Rotget was a red-haired rebellious fellow who had been born in Alaró. He loved robbing the rich and being generous to the poor…and he had a fullethidden in the strap of his bag! He kept it with him even when he slept. 

Rotget was in love with Joana and she was aware of this, because he had occasionally addressed her with ardent words or presented her with a flower. One day, two guards threatened the young girl, although their real aim was to trap the young bandit...
