A place of legend!

On the road that winds down to Sa Calobra, there is a point with a hairpin bend called the knot in the tie. The more imaginative believe that it is the magnificent work of a giant. Of course not! It was built by an engineer called Antoni Parietti Coll in 1899. One of his big dreams was to build a funicular up to Puig Major, where he wanted to make an observatory, ski runs and a restaurant.
