A place of legend!

Ses Cuines Velles (the Old Kitchens) is the name of a hidden cave with a black ceiling, just like the kitchens of old houses whose smoke turns the ceiling the colour of charcoal. Well, one day a woodcutter who was working close by heard some voices. They were the voices of giants who opened the cave by shouting Obritapenya! and closed it by exclaiming Tànquitapenya!  The woodcutter, who was as poor as a church mouse, took advantage of this discovery to sneak into the giants’ den, where he found a huge pile of treasure, including money which he took. As the cave was on land belonging to his rich brother, he warned him not to go too close to it because the giants wouldn’t be too pleased with the theft. Attracted by the idea of finding the treasure, his brother took no notice and went there, with such poor luck that the giants found him and he was never heard of again.
