This building was blessed in 1909 and inaugurated as the Centre for the Promotion of the Catholic Faith, run by the Marian order. Since 1959, it has been owned by the parish of Sant Bartomeu.
It used to have a cinema whose curtain was painted by Cristòfol Pizà to show a recreation of the Battle of Barona Bridge against Turkish pirates. It also featured function rooms and sports courts.
