In Uetam street, 8 is the old Hostal Can Marió, today a restaurant, a building from the late nineteenth century of unknown authorship, modernist style. Can Marió hostel is the oldest in Valldemossa. Before the current building it had two other locations: the first, next to the parish church and the second, in the Plaza Ramon Llull. In the first, in September 1867, the archduke Luis Salvador spent his first night in Valldemossa. When the new road was opened in Uetam Street, Antoni Mercant (Marió) great grandfather of the current owners, bought a new house and was inaugurated in 1899 with the same name. Here several painters such Santiago Rusiñol, Puig Dengolas, Bernes, Masaya Mishimoto, Nils Burwitz, Coll Bardolet, Eliseo Meifren, among others,stayed and their works decorate the walls of the dining room.
