The origins of Majorca’s Bishop’s Palace can be traced back to the island’s first bishop, Ramon de Torrella, appointed shortly after the Christian conquest. The oldest part of the building is the 13th façade that looks toward the sea. The main façade is a 17th century Mannerist one and the building generally is Gothic in style.
