The building known as Seminari Nou (the New Seminary) stands on land that used to belong to Son Gibert estate. Work began on this Regionalist building in 1949 and between 1953 and 1980 it housed Sant Pere Conciliar Seminary. Its chapel, which is presided over by a statue of Our Lady of the Assumption, was consecrated in 1960. The building is currently used for educational purposes.
