This classic movie bears the hallmark of Ray Harryhaussen, who was in charge of the special effects. It is the first of a trilogy featuring Sinbad, the character from the Thousand and One Nights. It was filmed on location in different places in Spain, including Majorca, which represents the mythical island of Colossus.
