Valldurgent estate stands on the site of an old Islamic farmstead known as Al-Hajj-Saleh and it is documented as belonging to the Zaforteza family as from 1344. It is made up of a unique set of buildings, including a three-storey tower with battlements, a machicolation and mullioned windows.
