Today’s monastery dates back to the 18th century and it was built to replace a Gothic one. When Church property was seized in 1835, it was sold into private hands, but in the early 20th century, it was taken over again by the Franciscans, who set up a school which still functions today. Mention must be made of the bas-relief by Jaume Mir on the façade of the church, made in 1975, showing Saint Francis and the stigmata he received.
