A place of legend!

If you stroll through Levante Nature Reserve, close to S'Alqueria Vella de Avall, you will come across two legendary figures, Sustrando Citrato and Babá Jussifà. Don't worry if they don't return your greeting. They're made of stone. According to legend, they were two Saracens who refused to abandon the island after its conquest by King James 1st. They became petrified stone figures and they have remained so ever since, impassively watching the passing of the years...
